brain damage

so, let's try something different. anyway this podcast is even lamer than usual. haha.
try to guess who sung the songs in this file.

(i uploaded this august 17 but it only showed up on my podcast list today. don't know why. but anyway, here it is. at long last i'm able to post it.)

Sept. 17, 2007 update:

my free podcast host Rizzn.net has ceased to exist since 2005, and I lost the

original files, so the audio podcast file in this post is forever gone, i guess.

Pink Floyd, "Dark Side of the Moon". Ahhh.. memories. Thanks a lot for that one, Gem.

Don't know the second one, though. :)

Keep up the good work!
The other one sounds like Slim Shady aka Eminem aka Mark Mathers.

Too bad the beat mapping was so far off near the end of that mash up though.

robert, yep. the other song is Pink Floyd's "Brain Damage" from the Dark Side of the Moon cd.

def, ahahahaha. yes i know the last part so doesn't match. i tried to make the middle beats match, but i ran out of things to copy and paste at the last part.

and you're right, the other song's by Eminem. it's also called "Brain Damage", and it's from The Slim Shady LP album.

in my infinite *cough* *cough* wisdom, i thought that it would be brilliant to fuse these two "Brain Damage" songs together. yeah. so this version doesn't work very well. hahaha.

maybe others can use this idea and attempt a better mash-up.
Hey, you get an A for effort :) I love the whole mash-up idea, though I tend to go with 1 tune + various voice samples instead of trying to mash two different tunes together cause good beatmapping is tough...

It's pretty hard to mesh two complete songs together without making it sound too busy or clashing beats. I was playing around with my guitar yesterday trying to link the guitar from the Gorillaz "Starshine" with the bass line from "Feel Good Inc."

Er, mental tangent. Anyway, it's a good concept. I'm gonna try plugging those into GarageBand leter on. =3
Hi Gem, welcome back to the world! Your mash reminds me of another: the entire album "Dark Side Of The Moon" mashes sweetly with the movie "Wizard of Oz"; you start the CD after the second lion roar, if I recall. And turn off the movie sound. And surrender yourself to it, Dorothy.
